About Upgrade Time Calculation
In Last War: Survival, upgrading buildings and researching tech requires massive amounts of time. Speedup buffs from research, alliance tech, VIP levels, and temporary position titles reduce this duration. This tool helps you find the actual time an upgrade will take before you start it, helping you budget your speedup items.
Speed Formula
Actual duration is calculated using the following speedup formula:
Actual Time = Base Time / (1 + Total Speed Modifier / 100)
For example, a +100% total speed modifier doubles construction speed (2.0x), cutting the actual time in half (50% of base time). A +300% total modifier results in 4.0x speed, meaning upgrades complete in 25% of their base duration.
Available Buff Positions
- Secretary of Development: Gives +50% Building Construction Speed and +25% Tech Research Speed (goes up to +60% Build / +30% Tech with Conqueror's Award).
- Secretary of Science: Gives +25% Building Construction Speed and +50% Tech Research Speed (goes up to +30% Build / +60% Tech with Conqueror's Award).
- Vice President: Gives +20% Building Construction Speed and +20% Tech Research Speed (goes up to +25% Build / +25% Tech with Conqueror's Award).
- Administrative Commander: Available only during Conqueror's Award, granting +60% Building Construction Speed and +60% Tech Research Speed.
- Co-op Buffs: Alliance tech upgrades for Co-op Construction and Co-op Research levels (ranging from +10% to +45% speed).
